Logo:
Our logo is a Tumbuka shield. The Tumbuka are descendants of the famed
Zulu tribe of South Africa. The shield represents protection and safety, thus
the choice as our logo. We wish to provide protection and safety for each child
that attends our camps. Serendipity: Serendipity means to find a great treasure unexpectedly. It is our hope that you will find our camps a treasure for you and your family. |

Welcome to Serendipity Kids
Ranch Programs! We are here to support parents, and it is our desire to serve children and their families in the best possible way. Our goal is to help campers find and experience a loving environment during their time with us. A camp experience can help counter what has been termed “nature deficit disorder,” the increasing tendency of children to spend all their free time in front of a TV or computer screen. Recent studies indicate that even a fairly small amount of time outside can sharpen kids ability to focus, lower childhood obesity rates, establish a connection to nature, and allow the youth to use their imaginations and engage in free play for entertainment. All campers are expected to demonstrate integrity, civility, responsibility, self-control, and mutual respect in all interactions with other campers and camp staff. No child is to be dropped off at Harmon Field for camp purposes or Serendipity Kids Ranch without being properly registered for Serendipity Kids Ranch programs and no child is to leave Harmon Field from camp or Serendipity Kids Ranch premises without letting the camp director, assistant director, or counselor in charge know that the child is being picked up early. Serendipity Kids Ranch programs will be offering camps for children ages 3-13. Special needs children will be integrated into the normal camp setting. Drop-off and pick-up for After School, Skoolzout, and Summer Camps will be at the Harmon Field Community Building (old Tryon Middle School); drop-off and pick-up for School Camp will be at Serendipity Kids Ranch.
